Shared Profiles
Swingable's shared couple profiles with separate logins
One profile, two people, two logins
A shared profile is the face you present to the community. Behind it, each partner keeps their own login, their own password and their own verification. Nobody has to share credentials to use the account.
Everyone is equal
There is no owner and no junior member. Both partners have the same rights over the shared profile. You choose a relationship label — partner, husband, wife, and so on — but that label describes your relationship, not a permission level.
Attribution, so people know who they're talking to
When one partner posts or replies from the shared profile, the community can see which member did it. That removes the most common frustration with couple accounts: not knowing who is actually on the other end of the conversation.
Switching identities
If you also have a personal profile, you switch between your personal identity and the shared one from the account switcher. Your subscription follows you as a person, not the profile you happen to be using.
If the relationship changes
Because the logins are separate, a partner can step away from a shared profile without deleting anyone's account or losing their own history and verification. That matters more than people expect when they first sign up.
Being straight with you
What this does not do.
- •Both partners must verify individually before the shared profile shows as fully verified.
- •Shared profiles are for people who are genuinely connected. They aren't a way to run several accounts from one login.
