Getting started
Getting started in ethical non-monogamy
The first conversations, the honest self-assessment, and the language you will meet along the way.
Start by getting honest with yourself before you get honest with anyone else. Most people who do well in the lifestyle spend weeks talking before they meet anybody.
Almost everyone arrives here with the same two questions. Is this actually for me, and how on earth do I bring it up? Neither has a quick answer, and anyone who gives you one is selling something.
The guides below are ordered the way most people move through it. You work out what ethical non-monogamy really covers, which is far broader than the version in your head. You test the idea against your own values rather than against a fantasy. You learn the vocabulary so that a conversation does not stall on a word you had to guess at. Then, and only then, you start talking to people.
There is no schedule. Couples who take six months over this tend to have a better time than couples who take six days. Nothing here asks you to join anything, and the quiz at the end costs nothing and asks for no sign-up.
